How VIBE Yoga, Health & Fitness Studio Became Home for Jen Maloney

Today, we’re sharing the story of Jen Maloney, a member of the VIBE Yoga, Health & Fitness Studio community whose amazing personality, consistency, and commitment to her health and wellness are inspiring to us!

Getting Started at VIBE

Jen first joined VIBE about two years ago. At the time, she searched for the right gym or fitness studio to fit her needs. Like so many other people experience as they try different facilities, she found many of the places she visited to be impersonal, intimidating, or unwelcoming. 

She and a friend decided to check VIBE out, and Jen immediately noticed something different about us. After just her first visit, the entire team learned her name and went out of their way to greet her. It struck Jen that everyone at VIBE values making it a health and wellness community.

The VIBE studio’s look and feel were different from the average fitness studio. She liked that the space was colorful, very fun, and inviting. 

Jen’s Experience with VIBE’s Classes

Jen was a runner before joining VIBE, and she enjoyed the new challenges our fitness studio offered her.

The first class Jen took at VIBE was VIBE Power with Samantha. Jen had been a runner for ten years, but looking back on her first time in that class, she remembers what a great challenge it was. She could instantly tell that the workout Samantha led targeted muscle groups that she needed to exercise more. She was hooked!

Since that very first VIBE Power class, Jen has done personal training with Carly and has tried just about every other class VIBE offers. She now goes to classes three days a week. One thing Jen appreciates about VIBE’s classes is that no class is ever the same. Even though she often attends the same classes every week, each one is a bit different, and she enjoys the variety.

Jen has also expanded from VIBE’s Fitness classes to add Yoga classes, including our virtual options. Because she’s newer to yoga, she appreciates that there are 30-minute classes she can try as she gets more comfortable with her practice.

Enjoying Virtual Workouts from Home

During periods in 2020 when in-person exercise at VIBE’s fitness studio wasn’t possible, Jen was especially appreciative of our virtual class options. She missed the experience of going to the studio in person, of course. But, she thought our team did a great job providing virtual options that community members can do at home.

Working from home and collaborating with colleagues globally, Jen’s ability to sign up for classes that suit her schedule is a practical aspect of her VIBE membership that she loves. She likes that she can take a class over her lunch and then get back to work!

Signing up for virtual classes and making the commitment to show up motivates Jen to stick with her routine with VIBE. The classes help to keep her accountable, unlike some other virtual offerings she’s seen. 

A Community That Cares

If Jen were to skip a week of fitness at VIBE, she knows that someone on the team would check in with her to make sure she’s okay. Throughout her membership with VIBE, she’s made friendships and met people who have made an impact on her life. It just goes to show that at VIBE, she’s not just another member – she’s part of our community.

The VIBE community stretches beyond the walls of the studio, too. Jen likes that there have been opportunities for fun ways to connect with other members with activities like VIBE’s book club.

We’re thankful that Jen joined the VIBE and continues to be one of the members that make our studio something special.
